I started my PhD in February 2021 within the Environmental Economics and Natural Resources group and Wildlife Ecology and Conservation group. My research project aims to develop a framework for determining riparian buffer zones as a nature-based solution for surface water quality improvement, from a socioecological perspective.

I graduated from the University of the Republic of Uruguay with a BSc in Economics in 2013. In 2015 I was awarded with the Chevening Scholarship and obtained my Master degree in Environmental Management for Businesses at the University of Hertfordshire (United Kingdom). My area of expertise is in ecological economic. I have previously worked in several private and public organizations as independent consultant specialized economic evaluation of environmental policies and projects, ecosystem services modeling with geographic information systems (GIS) and economic valuation of ecosystem services.
