Jouke has extended projects experience in extreme climate conditions, including tropical and desert
- Malaysia (2008-2011), A demonstration greenhouse for Malaysian horticulture using substrates to save on water and nutrients. Jouke was a team member on greenhouse design also energy and climate control.
- India (2015), Outline for the establishment of centres of excellence on greenhouse horticulture. Jouke was the project leader and gave advice on greenhouse design also energy and climate control.
- Kuwait (2011-2012), Consultancy on greenhouse construction and management, Project leader.
- United Arab Emirates (2010-2016), Setup of a sustainable agricultural center in Abu Dhabi, Project leader.
- Saudi Arabia (2019 – present), Establishment of a center on water-saving greenhouse technology, Project leader.
- Saudi Arabia (2019 – present), Establishment of demonstration farms spread over Saudi Arabia to increase water use efficiency and production, Project leader.
- United Arab Emirates (2021 – present), Enhancing the agricultural production system of a farmers’ cooperation of 800 farmers, project member.
