My research interest is the response of plants to abiotic stresses and how we can make use of that knowledge in the real world. I'm particularly interested in hormonal signalling, the regulation of stomatal conductance and implications of both for plant metabolism and crop quality. The more I learn about it, the more fascinating I find how plants perceive their environment, how finely the signalling network is tuned and how all the little puzzle pieces interact in ways that we yet have to understand.
