ir. MA (Marco) Otte

Marco Otte (1970), is working for Wageningen University & Research (WUR) since 2000 and is serving at Corporate Strategy and Accounts since 2018.  Being the Liaison Officer for WUR towards the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), he likes to connect the dots in global networks, e.g. FAO’s strategy for SIDS (better worded by Large Ocean states) and WURs activities in the Caribbean. Marco has served in different capacities at both managing and consulting stages in different departments of WUR. His experience in Agri-related Operational Research and Logistics as well as in ICT and Green-Education brings him close understanding of issues in both the internal WUR organisation and the outside world.  At the senior level, he has served as Manager, Managing Consultant, Service manager and Account manager, besides various tenures as Chairman of the Participation Council.

In his role as Manager international relations Oceania he is keen on looking for the partnerships in this region that will help WUR to create impact by finding answers together.

Last but not least as expert on (strategic) partnerships and collaboration, he is always focusing on effective delivery of services and supporting relationship management of major accounts of WUR that can be national/governmental like the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Ministry of Agriculture or private companies as well international organizations like FAO.
