Researcher WEnR

I work as a researcher on soil nutrient management in the Sustainable Soil Management team at WEnR. After completing my MSc in soil science at WUR I continued as a PhD candidate to investigate the availability of soil phosphorus in managed grassland soils, and how this is affected by soil chemistry and biology. After spending two years as a research associate in the Nutrient Management Spear Program at Cornell University I started at WEnR in the summer of 2019. The research to which I contribute is aimed at nutrient management (predominantly nitrogen and phosphorus) in agricultural soils. Within this research, we focus specifically at mitigating loss pathways such as ammonia volatilization, greenhouse gas emissions, and leaching.
