Hi, I’m Max. I’m an interdisciplinary researcher with an academic background in psychology, business administration and design. Before starting my PhD at Wageningen I worked for 5 years as design researcher and project leader at the urban/landscape/architecture design office FABRICations. In this position I worked primarily on the larger scales (cities, regions and countries), mostly providing consultancy to governments (ministries, provinces, municipalities) on spatial strategies to realize transitions in agriculture, climate, energy and biodiversity.

With my PhD in Nature-Based Approaches for Climate-Robust, Sustainable and Productive Sandy-Soil Landscapes I want to further expand my expertise in climate adaptive and sustainable landscapes, focusing particularly on the economic, legal and social factors that play a role in the major transitions that are needed in our landscapes. I am part of WIMEK and supervised by Andries Richter, Josephine van Zeben and Edwin Alblas from the ENR and Law groups.

Besides my work I have always been very active in music, graphic design and analog photography.
