M (Michelle) Klerks MSc

Michelle is a PhD candidate from the Netherlands, but currently working and living in sunny Spain. She got a bachelor's degree in Nutrition & Dietetics and a master's degree in Nutrition & Health - obtained at Wageningen University and Research.

After her graduation in 2017, she moved to Spain to work for the Hero Group, a food company that is known for its baby food, snacks, and jams. She is working as a nutritionist at the international Research & Nutrition department. 

Next to her job as nutritionist, she started early 2020 her PhD at Food Quality and Design. During her PhD she will study the "Snackification" trend, where she will focus on understanding the healthiness and naturalness of snacking products, under supervision of Prof. Dr. Vincenzo Fogliano, Dr. Ruud Verkerk, Dr. Bea Steenbekkers, and Dr. Luisma Sanchez-Siles (Hero Group).
