dr. P (Parveen) Kumar

Parveen is a application based trans-disciplinary researcher at WUR, where he is currently involved in the Applied Spatial Research group. With a passion for tackling global challenges related to climate change, sustainability, public policy, urban and mountain development , and the food-energy nexus. Parveen is dedicated to finding innovative solutions using responsible data science tools (such as big data, FAIR Data Principles, TAPS Matrix, spatial dynamics, and mixed-method frameworks), policy analysis, decision support systems, and science-policy-society knowledge co-creation. His research focuses on identifying new insights that can help shape policies and practices to address the most pressing challenges of our time, using a trans-disciplinary approach. Through his work, Parveen is committed to making a positive impact on society and enhancing the quality of life for people and building resilient socio-ecological systems and sustainable societies.
