Special Professor

I am a scientist and engineer working in postharvest tech. I thrive on finding problems, inventing new solutions, and deploying them by working in interdisciplinary teams. My goal is to identify when and where we lose quality of fresh fruit and vegetables for every single shipment in domestic and overseas supply chains. We use this info to help increase shelf life, prevent food loss, and make supply chains resilient through better decision-making and logistics. The tools I love to use are multiphysics simulations, various types of sensors, and data upcycling. With many driven coworkers, we are getting a few steps closer to providing consumers worldwide with nutritious, appealing, and affordable fresh food to help fight hunger, malnutrition, and obesity.
