I obtained a Master's degree in Ecology from the Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Science in  China, where I pursued a thesis on divergent hydraulic strategies to cope with freezing in humid temperate forest. Now, I'm currently pursuing my PhD that focuses on trade-offs between tree growth and stress tolerance among different adaptive strategies species and detects the underlying hydraulic and carbon physical mechanisms.

I have always been interested in the relationship between hydraulic traits and  tree growth, and testing trees hydraulic traits is one of  the innovations in my project. I continuously strive to get in depth understanding of the dynamic change of hydraulic traits and tree growth under climate change.
