Yueran is a PhD candidate at the Marketing and Consumer Behaviour Group at Wageningen University. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis, and completed her Master’s degree in Animal Science at Wageningen University.

Current Research: With Dr. Paul Ingenbleek and Dr. Caspar Krampe, Yueran is involved with the EU-funded project Digi4Live, which aims to enhance the capacity of actors in the European livestock sector by leveraging data-generating and digital technologies. Yueran’s work within this project focuses on the value creation of data sharing in the livestock value chain, exploring its potential to foster collaboration, transparency, and sustainability. Yueran seeks to identify the key drivers and barriers to data sharing through her research, aiming to develop strategies that support a more sustainable and efficient livestock sector.

Research Interests: Market innovation, sustainability transition, animal welfare, data sharing, and digitalization.
