Although the concept of High nature Value farmland (HNV) is gaining importance in the European biodiversity policy arena, the concept has untill now not been adopted in Dutch agri-environmental policies.
Goal
This project explores the possibilities of integrating the HNV concept into the exisiting policies and detecting gaps. The analysis will be done for both the monitoring efforts as well as policy support for management of HNV.
Results
A detailed HNV map of the Netherlands accompanied by a report with recommendations on monitoring and anticipated governmental support of HNV areas.
