Towards regenerative, inclusive food systems in Eastern Africa.
REFOOTURE supports East African communities in operationalising the principles of regeneration and inclusivity into the transformation of their food system. We do this through mobilising innovation capacity and strengthening the enabling environment via living labs in Kenya, Ethiopia and Uganda. The first phase of the REFOOTURE project (2020-2023) initiated a long-term commitment by stakeholders who want to jointly experiment, learn and contribute to regenerative, inclusive food systems in East Africa. During REFOOTURE Phase II (2023-2027), the regenerative inclusive food system development approach will be consolidated, based on successful food system innovation platforms.
