VENI Project: Clean water for all - optimal solutions for reducing multiple pollutants in rivers worldwide

Research introduction

Solving river pollution is challenging because causes of pollutants and their interactions in the environment are not well understood.

Research challenges

This project identifies optimal solutions for river pollution that account for these complex interactions. For this, a multi-pollutant model with spatial optimisation is being developed, as depicted in the figure below.
