Project

Colombian-Netherlands Dairy Capacity and Business development (DairyCaB)

In 2014 The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, conducted a fact-finding study ‘Mooooi, Dairy Opportunities for Colombia-Dutch Win-Win’. The results of this study have initiated a follow-up in the “Colombian-Netherlands Dairy Capacity and Business development project’’ (DairyCaB), which recently has been granted by the RVO.

DairyCaB, is implemented in the Antioquia Provence of Colombia by a consortium of Wageningen UR Livestock Research and Dutch and Colombian partners. DairyCaB aims to establish a dairy business platform by initiating and supporting activities in business development and capacity building. Demonstration farms will initiate, test, monitor, and train on technical innovations and introductions by Netherlands and Colombian private sector partners. The 3-years project started on December 1st, 2015.

DairyCaB is financially supported by the Transition Facility, administered by The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project is also supported by the Netherlands’ Embassy in Bogota.
