Internship

This information is meant for students registered at Wageningen University & Research who would like to perform an internship through our Division and for staff involved in supervision of internships.

The objective of the internship is to further develop your professional (= academic) skills and broaden your scope on future work by participation in a professional organisation in the field of nutrition and health. The organisation should be able to allow you to work at an academic level. The internship at the Division of Human Nutrition and Health is usually scheduled after first completing a thesis. Internships can be conducted in one of the areas related to the five Chairs of the Division of Human Nutrition and Health.

For internships supervised by the Division of Human Nutrition and Health, several internship advisors are available, each with their own area of expertise.

The coordination and administration of the internships is supported by the student secretariat of the Division of Human Nutrition and Health.

For further information and documents regarding an MSc Internship at the Division of Human Nutrition and Health go to the ‘Division of Human Nutrition and Health: MSc Theses and Internships’ Brightspace site. Students please note that you probably first need to self-enroll before you have access to this Brightspace site.

If you are not a student at Wageningen University, but you want to do an internship here, we offer a limited number of positions yearly for MSc students in their 2nd year of study. The minimum period for an internship at the Division of Human Nutrition and Health is 4 months (24 ETCS). We will ask for your cv, letter of motivation, courses and techniques studied so far, and your level of English proficiency. Also the time period that you wish to be here is important. Due to the summer break, we do not offer internships in July and August.
