PhD Twan Stoffers graduated Cum Laude

Friday December 16 Twan Stoffers successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled "Surviving and growing in dynamic floodplains: Habitat heterogeneity drives communities of young fish in the lower river Rhine". He was very honored to learn that it was awarded 'cum laude'. He really hopes that his work will be used to improve river fish nursery habitats and freshwater biodiversity. In 2022 we said goodbye to an exceptionally large number of PhD students who now - as young doctors - are part of our Aquaculture & Fisheries network of Wageningen University & Research. None of them graduated Cum Laude, an award given only to the best 2-3% candidates. Congratulations on a job very well done (!) to Twan Stoffers and his supervisors Leo Nagelkerke, Johan Verreth and Tom Buijse.
