The dairy sector is a major contributor to greenhouse gas and ammonia emissions, increasing the societal pressure on dairy farmers worldwide to continue innovation within a sustainable and welfare friendly production chain. It is a challenge to further optimize productivity and reduce emissions, to ensure both global food security as well as a healthy planet for next generations. What are the actual steps farmers can take to reduce their footprint? And how to balance all demands and restrictions on farm?
This year the International Dairy Nutrition Symposium 2022 will be organized in the new event centre Omnia at Wageningen Campus, The Netherlands on Thursday 13 October 2022. Experts from the Netherlands and abroad will present their vision on different aspects of sustainability in the dairy sector.
Representatives from feed, feed additive and dairy industry, knowledge institutes and governmental organizations as well as veterinarians, students and others who are interested are welcome to attend the 2022 symposium!
