On December 6th, the GEO group joined a 2-hour guided tour from Migrantour in Lombok, Utrecht, called 'Lombok Zonder Muren' (Lombok without walls).

Migrantour takes participants on a meaningful journey through the Utrecht neighborhood of Lombok, co-curated and guided by intercultural Migrantour facilitators with a first or second migration background. Together with the intercultural guides, the tour participants investigate what makes someone 'Dutch' or not; inclusion and exclusion; privilege; heritage and belonging.

At starting point Molen de Ster we were given 'curiosity glasses' by Fiona from Migrantour as we took off for the tour led by intercultural companions Sasha and Randa. During the walk we also had the opportunity to visit the Ubuntuhuis, one of three day centres in Utrecht for people with undocumented status and precarious living conditions to rest, do laundry, have a warm meal, etc. Ater the walk we went to De Voorkamer for a wonderful dinner. Big thanks to everyone at De Voorkamer, Molen de Ster and the Ubuntuhuis!
