The researchers of the Land Use Planning group are fellows and PhD students in two graduate schools: Wageningen School of Social Science, and WIMEK/SENSE (environmental research).
Memberships
The Land Use Planning group is a full member of the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP).
The Land Use Planning group actively participates in the International Study Group on Multiple Use of Land (ISOMUL). Professor Van der Valk is co-chair of ISOMUL.

The International Commission of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering
The main aims of CIGR Section I are to promote the advance of the engineering science in the area of land and water use in agriculture and in rural areas, giving special attention to the conservation of resources, the preservation and re-establishment of environmental balances, and the social and economic impacts of applications in order to realize sustainable development for both urban and rural societies.
