WaterPIP MOOC on Water Productivity
WRM as a partner in the WaterPIP project is involved in the creation of a MOOC on Water Productivity in practice. During this free and self-paced course, participants learn about water productivity in all its aspects (biophysical, economic and social) and explore ways to use remote sensing tools for biophysical water productivity.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Explain, analyse and monitor different types of Water Productivity
- Demonstrate the link between different types of Water Productivity
- Understand new datasets and models to assess Water Productivity
- Recommend practices towards improving Water Productivity on the ground
The course is targeting practicioners and academicians who work in agriculture and related fields and are interested in conducting water productivity and/or water accounting analyses, including to study how water productivity improvements can have an effect on different water users in a river basin context. To properly follow this course, some prior knowledge on hydrology and irrigation agronomy is expected.
