
Aquatides aquaticus (Thorne, 1930) Heyns, 1968
As Clavicaudoides trophurus Heyns, 1968, Aquatides aquaticus (Thorne, 1930) Heyns, 1968 belongs to the Nygolaimidae Thorne, 1935. These nematodes are predators, i.e. they have one mural tooth in their head region. The genus Aquatides is mostly aquatic (rarely also in wet soils) and the species A. aquaticus can be found in Europe, Asia and North America.
