Research Topic: Maturity index Literature
There has been a marked increase in the use of nematodes in environmental studies. Analyses of the nematode community allow easy detection of changes in the decomposition pathways and soil functioning at an early phase. One of the ecosystem parameters used in biomonitoring is the Maturity Index (Bongers, 1990).
As developments in this field are rather rapid and articles also appear in non-nematological journals, reports and books, we have composed a list of papers referring to the MI. Some of the papers cite the original Oecologia paper referring to the possibilities of nematodes in environmental studies; other papers refer to methodological aspects or applications.

The list contains papers in refereed journals, theses and reports; the only criterium for inclusion in the list is that papers cited are publicly available. In the future some annotations or key words will be added to describe the type of paper to prevent superfluous reprint requests. For reprint requests please contact the corresponding author.
We would be very pleased to receive comments on this list, additions of any papers we have omitted and reprints or photocopies of future studies.
