Project
Bevorderen gebruik van dierlijke ex situ collecties
Gene bank material is currently used to support the conservation of endangered breeds in situ and for innovative scientific research purposes. Potential users of gene bank collections breed societies, breeders, scientists require proper information about gene bank collections. Therefore it is important to maintain and regularly update the gene bank database CryoWEB and to make relevant information available through the gene bank web portal of CGN (www.genebankdata.cgn.wur.nl). Gene bank related genomic data that has been generated in research and characterization projects will also become available through the same web portal.
