Project
Flower richness fo green veining of the landscape for biodiversity
Today, many governments, companies, TBOs and civil society organizations work together on biodiversity in social-ecological networks. To prioritize measures and create maximum impact, the availability of up-to-date and reliable maps that show the quality of the biodiversity of nature areas and of the green veining is crucial. In addition, such maps also provide the possibility to monitor changes.
In this KB-project we will investigate if it is possible, using high-resolution satellite images and smart AI-techniques can map the floral wealth of dry veins in the landscape. An AI-system will be trained with management and field data from a study area in West-Brabant. In this project we will work together with the Brabant Landscape and the Bee Landscape West Brabant.
