Global Research Alliance GRA
The GRA is an international alliance of, currently, 65 countries committed to increasing agricultural production without increasing and preferably decreasing greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture. The alliance focuses on exchanging knowledge, information and techniques to jointly achieve this goal.

The network focuses on the exchange of knowledge, information and techniques to jointly achieve this goal.A great deal of knowledge must be developed and shared in the field of agriculture and climate. The global knowledge network Global Research Alliance (GRA) is the appropriate platform for this. The Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality enables researchers from Wageningen UR to participate in the GRA networks in order to further develop and coordinate the knowledge base internationally.There is a need to adapt agricultural systems. Within the GRA, the member countries exchange their efforts in the field of agricultural policy and pool their efforts in the field of knowledge. In recent years, the Dutch efforts within the GRA have focused on the proper functioning of the various research groups of the GRA and the involvement of Dutch researchers within the networks of the GRA.
In addition to these ongoing activities, the Dutch effort from 2019 has focused on activities to get the topic of Circular food systems on the agenda of the GRA. In 2020 it was decided to make it a special Network within the Integrative Research Group of the GRA. An action plan for this network has been drawn up and financing has been arranged.This new network was launched in 2021 and will provide the first results in 2022 on how circular agricultural systems are set up worldwide, and what their contribution can be in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
