Landbouwexport in breder perspectief

Every year Wageningen Economic Research publishes on the size of Dutch agricultural exports and imports - for a number of years now in collaboration with Statistics Netherlands (CBS). The trade figures are announced by the Minister of LNV in January during the Grüne Woche-event (IGW) in Berlin. In addition to the traditional export and import figures, the publication includes additional information to give the trade figures a broader context. Also, there is a need to deepen the subject of trade by examining a number of trade related themes. The themes are determined annually, in consultation with the client.

The project provides an estimate and analysis of the Dutch trade in agricultural goods for the year in question. The trade in agricultural goods is analysed and includes an analysis of the export earnings, re-exports and the position of the Netherlands on the world market. In addition, some trade-related  themes are discussed.
