Meststoediening, emissies en bodemleven
There is an ongoing discussion about the effect of manure application methods on soil biota and soil quality (such as the oranic matter content and composition), on crop (grass) nitrogen uptake, on nitrate leaching to the ground water, and on the production and emission of nitrous oxide. More information on these possible effects is required to guide future decisions on cases of dispensation for surface application of manure.
Wageningen Research (WR) and the Louis Bolk Instituut (LBI) run a project on the effects of manure quality and application method on soil quality and nitrogen cycling processes.
