Playbook to disseminate data and modeling activities for the Transformative bioeconomies

The development of an interactive playbook tailored for the life sciences domain holds significant strategic relevance, encompassing both societal and academic perspectives. In the rapidly advancing field of life sciences, where breakthroughs and innovations are frequent, an interactive playbook becomes a pivotal tool for navigating the complexities and challenges.

From a societal perspective, such a playbook ensures that unique studies, reviews, and advancements are efficiently disseminated and applied both by societal actors and researchers, contributing to improved sustainability outcomes and overall public well-being. On an academic level, the playbook serves as a dynamic resource, fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and continuous learning among researchers and institutions, on top of scientific articles. In summary, development of the proposed playbook contributes to (data) science for impact.

The aim of this outreach activity will be to disseminate the results in an interactive and accessible way on the web. The content will be published in a ‘playbook’ and will target a wide audience group.

The core content of this outreach activity is the result of our wildcard idea on transformative ways for studying transformative bioeconomies, emphasizing the importance of making machine-learning models explainable for users. The goal of the wildcard study is to provide a basic understanding of how modeling techniques influence outcomes. This transparency is crucial not only for model builders but also for researchers and clients in commercial settings who need to justify model outcomes. The project is seen as an innovative learning journey for the research team.
