Kate Frederick wins dissertation price
At every World Economic History Congress a number of prizes are awarded for the best PhD dissertations.
At this years World Economic History Congress (WEHC) in Paris Katharine (Kate) Frederick was announced the winner of a dissertation price in the category 20th-21st Century. She has won this award for her dissertation: Deindustrialization in East Africa: Textile Production in an Era of Globalization and Contestation 1830-1940.
She has written this dissertation at the RHI group under supervision of Ewout Frankema and Elise van Nederveen Meerkerk
