Consumer research room
The Marketing and Consumer Behaviour group is coordinating the Consumer Research Room facility in the basement of the Leeuwenborch. building. The Consumer Research Room is one of our main research platforms.
The consumer research room is a flexible all purpose consumer research facility. Since 2009 our group has conducted a lot of research using the possibilities this facility provides.
If you have questions, you can contact the coordinator (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Examples of research
The room is a versatile space that counts with a kitchen (sink, fridge, freezer) which can be hidden, and additional rooms which can be adapted with shelves, to mimic for instance supermarket aisles. There is also a vending machine to be used in live choice-based experiments. It counts with a large main room with desks. The desks can be used to conduct focus groups, interviews, or be separated with panels for sensory tests (or tests that require individuals not to interact with each other). Most desks count with computers to perform experiments via online platforms, being able to accommodate several people simultaneously. The walls can be decorated according to the researchers’ goals.
We have conducted here too research that involved timed responses, physiological measures, eye-tracking, etc. meaning that the space is suitable too for experiments that require concentration.
