Sustainability problems are deeply rooted in markets. So, it is fair to say that the problem domains in which Wageningen University and Research is active, food security, climate change, biodiversity, health and nutrition and bio-based economy, are all hindered in one or more ways by market issues preventing sustainable change to happen.

At the Sustainable Market Innovation Hub, we specialize in studying these issues and developing solutions for them. We are also pooling ideas and knowledge together with postdoctoral and PhD researchers, researchers from other disciplines, company managers, and others.
