WSSC submitted three project ideas for the TKI Call 2022
Researchers from the WSSC were able to submit three different project ideas for the top sectors Agri & Food, Horticulture & Propagation Materials and Water & Maritime. The topics of the project ideas fit into the Knowledge and Innovation Agenda Agriculture, Water, Food. One idea aims to study the effect of organic production on the seed microbiome. A second idea concerns strengthening the seeds microbiome to provide the seedlings with increased drought tolerance. The third idea is to improve prediction of seed shelf life.
These project proposals aim at developing long term innovative applied seed research together with collaboration parties represented by seed, breeding and food industries.
