Watervogels en Slaapplaatsen

The Netherlands are obliged to report on the development in trends of birds according to the Bird Directive and the related Natura2000 policy as well as from the "Geometrical condition of the land". In order to make this possible, Rijkswaterstaat, the twelve provinces through BIJ12 and WOT jointly order to carry out the necessary monitoring. This assignment is part of a multi-year contract with Sovon. Every year Sovon draws up a work plan with a duration of four years for the execution of the monitoring, including the reporting in the fourth year.
