Showcases on spatial data for environmental planning and design

Environmental challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, environmental pollution and the energy transition are somehow interlinked, making them complex issues. These challenges have in common that they have a spatial component. Questions like ‘What is happening where?’ or ‘Where is space for…?’ seem easy to answer, but for these complex issues the answers are not easily found in the existing landscape. Wageningen Environmental Research uses spatial analysis, visualisations, spatial planning and application design to address these questions. We work in teams with an integrated and interdisciplinary approach, because we believe that co-creation and participatory research are important for success in the collaboration.
