News from Nature: Jan Andries van Franeker on plastics in seabirds
In the episode about plastic waste of the Dutch program "Nieuws uit de natuur" (News from Nature), Jan Andries van Franeker showed how much plastics are in the stomach of a Northern Fulmar.
On Dutch national television, the NTR broadcasts a weekly television program for the youth called ‘Nieuws uit de natuur’ (News from Nature). A week later these programs are repeated on national school television. The program of 26 September 2014 dealt with ‘Leven tussen Rommel’ (Living amidst rubbish), in which Jan van Franeker demonstrated how much plastics are in the stomachs of Northern Fulmars
