Groningen White Headed

The Groninger White Headed is an old Dutch breed, of which the first descriptions date back to the 14th century. From the Middle Ages onwards, the animals are depicted in paintings, showing both red and black White Headed. Also a white head without markings was common. In the province of Groningen, 90% of the livestock consisted of White Headed at the beginning of the 20th century.
