Workshop Brascamp model
Revision of the Brascamp model was not intended to cut costs or spend more money. The working group calculated the costs of a number of courses as they are currently taught. Some courses became more expensive, others cheaper. That is why the initial budget for education has been calculated based on the old Brascamp teaching methods. So the revision of the Brascamp model itself does not increase or decrease the education budget. However, we are now facing a 1 million euros (=1,624%) budget cut in education, which may affect the discussion. During the workshop we will focus on how to use the Brascamp model, so use the model in such a way that education is paid fairly. If a course becomes more expensive as a result of the new teaching methods, the programme directors have to decide whether it's feasible to increase the budget for a course or that the course should be adapted in such a way that it fits the budget for a course.
