Workshop

1st International Workshop Drones Software Programming (ROSEN 2020)

We are happy to announce the 1st International Workshop of Drones Software Programming. UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems), and recently Drones, are becoming day-by-day a more affordable solution for many societal problems, e.g., agriculture, healthcare, humanitarian aid, and security.

Organised by Information Technology Group
Date

Tue 1 December 2020

Duration 10:00 - 15:40
Venue Zoom

Drones research is growing fast in many science universities and research centres in the world, but they are mainly employed by experts and advanced learners. Nevertheless, there are yet less UAV educational setups to channel this scientific knowledge to less expert users. Their popularity in our society and full market accessibility has triggered the demand of developing further knowledge besides how to fly a UAV. Novel disciplines should rise providing a basic understanding of UAVs, how to design safe UAV missions, how to develop software to program a UAV, how to process UAV data, how to interact with UAV hardware, etc. The goal of this workshop is to foster the knowledge in software programming applied to drones. This year’s theme will focus on the standard robotics software framework, The Robot Operating System (ROS).

Registration is mandatory. Please, register soon!
