2 November - Commemorative coin in honour of the 100-year anniversary

The first Wageningen University Fiver was minted by Jeroen Dijsselbloem on Friday 2 November. The special commemorative coin was issued by the Royal Mint in honour of the 100-year anniversary of WUR. WUR is now the first university with its own coin. Additionally, the “heads-or-tails” machine was also unveiled on 2 November allowing students and employees of WUR to toss a life-sized university coin to solve dilemmas.
