EU COST is a networking tool to bring scientists together to exchange concepts, ideas, methods and plan and streamline future research activities. In December 2011, we got green light for our COST Action STReESS - Studying Tree Responses to extreme Events: a SynthesiS.  The aim is to integrate knowledge conducted in dendrochronology, wood anatomy, ecophysiology and forest ecology to improve the understanding of stress response in European tree species.  Please find more information under: http://www.cost.esf.org/domains_actions/fps/Actions/FP1106 or contact Ute Sass-Klaassen at Wageningen University (ute.sassklaassen@wur.nl)
