Do you need more experience with presenting ideas or giving talks in an academic context? Are you looking to improve the delivery and impact of your talks in English during your studies? This online course enables students to speak more effectively in public situations at university. This course will be “hands-on” by offering input on what makes presentations work and providing opportunities to prepare, deliver and receive feedback on individual talks.
This course is taught entirely online using the Virtual Classroom in Brightspace.
English Presentation & Performance is for Bachelor’s and Master’s students looking to improve and practice their oral presentation skills. The maximum number of participants per group is 16.
English Presentation & Performance: B2 and up
The sessions will focus on preparing and delivering talks in an academic context. You will be taught how to structure your talks, how best to visualise and engage the audience with your ideas, and how to use your voice to deliver your message clearly and confidently. You will be able to practice talks in groups, reflect on your own performance and receive specific feedback on your development.
