Another exciting exhibition is on display at the Forum Library! The artist of this summer's exhibition is Simon Oosting, associate professor at the Animal Production Systems group. For the past few years he has made unique sculptures and paintings. You can admire these works of art at the Forum Library from Wednesday 10 July to Friday 25 October 2019.

The wood sculptures are made from black wood, often carved out of oak trees that fell thousands of years ago in the marshlands near Wageningen and that gradually blackened in the soil.

Poetry

Simon Oosting also published two books of poetry in the Frisian language (both part of the exhibition). Oosting's sculptures, paintings and poetry combine real and surreal to show the extraordinary in the ordinary. In 2020, a bilingual (Frisian and Dutch) book of poetry entitled “DC and More Nearby” will be published.
