Institutional change in the Central and Eastern European agri-foodsector

The agri-food sector in Central and Eastern Europe has undergone significant changes in the past 20 years. The initial impact of transition on the institutional framework and the organization of businesses has more recently been overtaken by the transformation of the agri-food sector due to the process of integration into the European Union.

The project analyses institutional and organizational change in the agri-food sector as a result of these different drivers. The project takes a supply chain approach and analyses different levels of the supply chain to quantify the impact of the institutional and organizational changes on supply chains and local suppliers.
