Paul prefers to stay at home and does not like to cook for himself

Paul (70, widower and infirm) lives next door to Barbara and does not understand where she gets all her energy. He finds his weekly visit to the supermarket a challenge in itself and prefers to stay at home. He does not cook for himself – after all, he lives alone.

What do you mean I don’t eat enough? I eat meat, potatoes and fruit, and I drink milk. Isn’t that enough?
Paul
A carton of milk, some ready-made meals and a bunch of bananas are enough for him to get through the week. In fact, he cannot even always finish everything. The nurse grumbles that he eats too little, but Paul sees things differently. “I eat meat, potatoes and fruit, and I drink milk. Isn’t that enough?”
