Presentation of Machiel Lamers on symposium: The Future of Tourism-Conservation Enterprises
On 21 November 2012, the Maastricht School of Management and Wageningen Unviersity in cooperation with the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) and sponsored by the Dutch Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) Responsible Innovation Program, organized a symposium on ‘The Future of Tourism-Conservation Enterprises’. Held at the AWF offices in Nairobi, the symposium drew more than 25 participants from the tourism industry, conservation organizations, civil society, the research community, donors, local community organizations and the Kenyan Government to share and discuss preliminary findings from the research project ‘Exploring the Void’.
