Wageningen University: Voted number 1!

According to a major survey of students, Wageningen University has the best masters and bachelor degree courses in Holland. For the fourth year in a row, students awarded Wageningen number one status in the national evaluation guide to Dutch universities and institutions of higher education.

Quality control

At Wageningen we give absolute priority to the contents and quality of the education offered. It is an approach that students clearly appreciate: The university scores highly in the survey for our range of choices, the teachers and the facilities. Wageningen University has 5000 students spread across 19 bachelors en 30 masters. Innovation has played a key role in our success, and in 2000 we were the first Dutch university to introduce the BaMa (Bachelor-Master) system. A broad spectrum of research facilities is available and each study area has its own active association, allowing you to take part in a wide range of activities that are often linked to the contents of your course.

Personal attention

Our teachers know their students personally. The student-teacher ratio was the most appreciated in the Netherlands: Less than eighteen students per teacher. There are no huge lectures given at Wageningen. We provide custom-made teaching in small groups, while addressing individual qualities and potentials. We also offer an enormous degree of choice. Because we have one faculty, you can choose from the 600+ subjects the university has to offer. Enjoy your freedom!

A global approach

Wageningen University doesn’t recognise borders. We see science as a global affair and prepare our students for the widest possible job market. At Wageningen you will meet both Dutch and international students who have come to this university from all over the world for their internships and research. One planet, countless opportunities.

Society matters

Wageningen students are socially involved. You will be taught to play an active role in improving the quality of life and society in general. With a master’s degree you can get straight to work at companies, organisations and governmental institutions, as you will already have gained experience during your internships and practically oriented tasks. Over 85 percent of Wageningen graduates find a suitable workplace within three months of finishing their studies.
