The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) has awarded a Veni grant to dr. Wilma Steeneveld for research on the economic consequences of sensors on dairy farms.

Sensors can improve the management of large dairy herds, but the adoption rate is low. This is mainly because of uncertainty about profitability and the optimal timing of the investment. In the proposed research, models will be developed to quantify the economic consequences of sensor application.
