Biomarkers of adipose tissue health

Background: Adipose tissue is an energy storing and endocrine tissue. Well-functioning adipose tissue is important for metabolic health and dysfunction leads to metabolic complications. Using experimental data and bioinformatical analysis we have identified several biomarkers for adipose tissue health.

Aim: Select a biomarker from the list together with your supervisor. Describe the biological function of a biomarker, substantiate its role as a biomarker by information from scientific literature and propose different methods for measuring the biomarker.
