Choose the most beautiful dissertation of the year
For the 13th time in a row, the editors of Resource put the spotlight on WUR’s theses. Out of nearly 300 dissertations produced this year, the editors chose 10 to compete for the title of best cover of 2021. The selected covers can be seen below, including a brief description of the research and its relationship to the cover.
The best cover of 2021
During the pre-selection, attention was paid to the attractiveness of the overall picture as a book cover. Of course, the link between content and image is important. But the colour scheme and layout also play a role. With some covers, the entire cover, i.e. front and back, forms a continuous design. Unfortunately, we cannot show this in a picture. The title and choice of font are also an essential part of a tasteful cover.
